What types of information does this statement cover?

By completing the form on this website, you consent to the processing of your personal information and authorise Athora to collect and process personal information about you.
If you intend to provide us with the personal information of a reference or of any other third party as part of your CV/resume or job application, you hereby represent to Athora that you have obtained the consent of such third party prior to providing their personal information to us.
It is important that the personal information we hold is accurate and up to date, therefore, please keep us informed if any of your personal data changes during your relationship with us. This can be done using your candidate account if you created one, or alternatively by emailing

Athora informs you that it may also enhance your profile with information about you, namely information collected (i) during its interactions with you, whether written, via telephone or physical interviews and (ii) from professional social networks or from any public information source, when such information is relevant to the management of your application.
Your data may also be included in a CV library which will enable Athora to inform you of other job opportunities which may be of interest to you, where applicable.
How will the personal information submitted be used?
The information that you submit on this website may be stored on servers and databases located outside the country where you provided Athora with your personal data and in some cases outside the European Economic Area. Personal information you provide through the website will be collected, used, stored, transferred, disclosed and otherwise processed ("processed") for Athora’s global recruitment functions and for related management, information, planning and record-keeping purposes. This will include determining whether you are a suitable applicant for any role(s) that you apply for, and shortlisting, selection and arranging interviews. Any information collected from you on this website, or during the interview process, will also be used to determine whether you will proceed through the application process and whether Athora will offer employment to you. The information you submit will be used for these purposes by Athora recruiters, hiring managers and HR professionals.
In addition, Athora will collect and use the personal information you provide to process your application; to communicate with you about your job application; to manage the relationship between you and Athora; to monitor and record services whether provided by an Athora company or a third party; to comply with any applicable laws and regulations or with any legal claims; to inform you about new vacancies and events relevant to our recruiting initiatives and to communicate with credit reference and information agencies (such as for background checks, screenings, references and other quantitative and qualitative testing purposes), where appropriate and as permitted under applicable laws and regulations
Who will have access to personal information?
Access to personal information about you will be limited to those Athora employees and third-party consultants who have a business need to access such personal information such as recruiters, human resources personnel, technical services personnel, hiring managers, and/or their respective designees. We may share personal information about you with selected service providers or consultants acting on our behalf, such as third parties assisting Athora with the operation of the website. Those third parties will be required to protect personal information consistent with the terms of this Statement.
Athora may also disclose personal information about you in order to (1) protect against fraud or other illegal activity, (2) respond to inquiries or requests from public or other authorities and (3) comply with the law or regulation or legal process.

International Data Transfer
Your personal information may be transferred, stored and accessed within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or transferred to, stored in, and accessed from countries outside the EEA in order to fulfil the purposes described in this Statement. For transfers to countries outside the EEA, the data protection regime may be different than in the country in which you are located, therefore, whenever Athora transfers your personal data out of the EEA, we will ensure that adequate safeguards are in place in to protect the personal data being transferred.
Data security standards
Athora is committed to protecting the personal data you provide us. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of personal data under our control, Athora has appropriate security management systems in place to safeguard the personal data we collect. Firewalls, intrusion detection and virus scanners are used on all parts of the Website. Encryption during transmission is also used on sections of the Website where security is particularly important.
While Athora makes reasonable efforts to protect all personal data, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, Athora cannot ensure or warrant the security of any personal data you transmit to us, you do so at your own risk. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for any intercepted information sent via the Internet, and you hereby waive, release and discharge us from any and all claims arising out of or related to the use of intercepted information in any unauthorised manner.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of the Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.
Data Retention
Your personal information will be retained in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. If there is no activity in relation to your personal information, Athora may remove personal information from its database, subject to Athora data retention obligations and policies and applicable legal and regulatory obligations. Please note that Athora may delete your profile or some or all the personal information that Athora has about you (including your CV/resume), for any reason and without notice subject legal and regulatory obligations. Therefore, please retain your own copy of the personal information provided to us.
Data retention guidelines will be observed for the country to which you are applying. The personal data of external candidates will be kept for the maximum period of time allowed by local legislation after the last contact with our recruitment department, the concept of “last contact” being understood as the date the vacancy for which you have applied is closed. For internal applications, data retention rules applicable to employee data will apply.
Your legal rights
Under certain circumstances you have the following rights under applicable data protection law in relation to personal data, namely:
- To request access to your personal data (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive subject to legal and regulatory obligations a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected; however, we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.

However, Athora may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Athora may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.
