The Responsible Investment Club

In April 2021 Athora Belgium co-founded, together with Funds for Good, DNCA Investments, M&G Investments and Nordea Asset Management, the Sustainable Finance Club. The club aims at promoting and accelerating the development of socially responsible investments by providing brokers with the necessary training, knowledge and tools to actively promote and offer ethical investment solutions to their clients. The club follows an easy set-by-step approach as follows:

• Club members constitute an allocation using six underlying funds that have received the Towards Sustainability label from Febelfin
• Partner brokers are selected on the basis of their annual investment potential, to ensure they can truly have an impact in advancing the transition to Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) solutions. The partners set themselves the objective of achieving at least 25% of their production with Athora Belgium for the year in SRI solutions
• Additionally, the partners agree to:
  • Participate in four training sessions over the year. Here, the Club founders they provide the partner brokers with both theoretical and practical training on SRI, as well as marketing material and relevant content to enable a more effective promotion of SRI
  • Organise one annual conference to inform clients on and promote SRI
  • Highlight their SRI offer to customers on their website
• On their hand, the Club founders set out to:
  • Provide theoretical and practical training on SRI
  • Create marketing documentation and share content that brokers can use when approaching / discussing with clients
  • Set an annual budget for the organisation of a client event
