Head of Actuarial
Niall is Head of Actuarial at Athora Ireland and is responsible for all areas of actuarial work, transaction underwriting, and investment oversight.
He joined the business (then Aegon Ireland) in 2016 and was appointed Head of Actuarial in 2018. He served as CEO at Athora Ireland on an interim basis from January 2022 to March 2023.
Niall has 14 years’ experience in the Irish and international life and pensions industry. Previously, he held the roles of Methodology Manager at Athora Ireland, Corporate Actuary at Allianz Global Life and Investment Consultant at Willis Towers Watson.
Niall holds a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial & Financial Studies from University College Dublin, a Master’s Degree in Economics from Trinity College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (Ireland).
