Liam Mohan serves as Chief Actuary at Athora Life Re, leading the company’s actuarial function and its approach to balance sheet management, including ALM, liquidity, capital management and business planning. Throughout his time at Athora, he has held a series of senior roles spanning risk, balance sheet oversight and actuarial reporting, and has driven enhancements to the firm’s governance, analytical capabilities and strategic financial processes.

Before joining Athora Life Re, Liam worked in actuarial consulting in the UK, supporting insurers on projects covering investments, ALM, and reinsurance transactions.

He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and holds an integrated master’s degree in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics (MMORSE) from the University of Warwick.
